Full recipe is below <3 Homemade Coca-Cola (Makes 8-10 servings) Recipe adapted from beautyandthebeets.com INGREDIENTS * 4 cups filtered water * juice & zest of 1 lemon * juice & zest of 1 lime * juice & zest of 1 large orange * 2-3 cinnamon sticks * 2 TBSP dried orange peel (if you don’t have it you can skip it) * 1.5 tsp whole coriander seeds (feel free to skip if you don’t have it) * 1/4 tsp finely grated nutmeg * 3 cups sugar, I used raw tubinado sugar but any will work * 1/4 cup browning sauce (you can buy it or make it, see recipe below for browning sauce)*** * 1 tsp vanilla extract * Sparkling mineral water for mixing (I love @sanpellegrino_us or @perrier ) * Optional: if you want caffeine you can add 2 TBSP green coffee bean powder Instructions 1. Stir the water, lemon zest, lime zest, orange zest, cinnamon sticks, dried orange peel, whole coriander seed, and nutmeg together in a large saucepan over medium heat. 2. Stir in the sugar and bring to a boil. 3. Continue stirring for a few minutes until the sugar dissolves. 4. Remove syrup from the heat. 5. Add the lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, browning sauce, and vanilla extract to the saucepan mixture and stir. 6. Let mixture cool, then use a fine mesh strainer and strain syrup into a mason jar or other sealable bottle for storage. 7. To make one cola drink: Combine 1/4th-1/2 cup of the cola syrup with about 2 cups of seltzer water, depending on how strong/sweet you want it. Taste it and see if you want more or less syrup. 8. Add ice and enjoy! This will stay good in the fridge for up to 1 month. I’m all out of room but I’ll put the recipe for the browning sauce pinned in the comments, enjoy!!🫶 #homemade #cocacola #madefromscratch #homemadesoda #homemaking #recipe #homesteading #howitsmade
